Morning gents,

I just recently bought a i3 8100 with the above motherboard and 8GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 2400MHz 2x2.

I am currently running a normal HDD and want to upgrade to a better storage, and knowing that this MB can take M.2 I was in need for some information. Which one is better, the M.2 SSD or the NVME SSD? I can barely know the difference :sarcastic:
And if anyone come up with some names, up to 250GB, that will be great.

Many thanks
Raz

M.2 SSD's (the first released at least) were run off the SATA interface(SATA express) while M.2 NVMe's are an improved protocol and are faster. The latter requires lanes from the system. I'd suggest going with an NVMe purchase. How much would you like to shell out on the drive, what capacity are you eyeing, where are you located and where would you like to purchase from?

I'm eyeing a 250GB capacity, living in Hemel Hampstead and looking at Amazon or Aria. Any recommendations?
Can I install windows on that drive, and use it as a main storage? Will I require specified software?

Thanks
