Hi,
I have two hard drives connected to my newly assembled computer. One SSD for boot and windows and Another 1TB Hard Drive that contains data only.

Every now and then when I start up my computer My SSD with windows 8 on it doesn't get detected. and windows doesn't boot. I turn off the computer remove the sata cable connection to the SSD and put it back in and then it boots normaly.

Initialy i assumed it was a problem with the sata cable so I tried it with two other working cables and even tried connecting it in different sata ports on the mother board. The same problem.
Is there a problem with partitions?

Is there anything I should be checking?

pls help

update the BIOS of the motherboard (within BIOS using the flash menu and the downloaded, unzipped BIOS file on an USB flash drive) and the firmware of the SSD (if available) with the manufacturer´s tool. Check the SSD for errors as well.

Which motherboard are you using?
