Hi,
so basically I just bought a samsung 840 pro 128 or 120gb (cant remember!) ssd, but because I am so silly and impatient I forgot to check the fact that my motherboard only has 3gbs ports. I completely understand that it will work but it will be restricted to around 300mbps (280mbps realistically) but is there a way without getting another motherboard have a work around to get this working at 6gbps?

thanks

pros are 128gb and you could use a pci ex sata controller (if you have a free pci ex slot):
for example:
http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Port-Express-Controller-PEXSAT32/dp/B003GS8VA4

however the speed difference from sata 2 versus 3 isn't that big in normal scenarios. your numbers are MB/s not mbps and you are limited in sequential speeds only, not on the random speeds where the ssd speeds are about the same (not interface bound)
