SSD (Samsung 840 Pro 128GB) TB Written / Life Span

I've had my SSD in my PC for ~18 months

In that time i've written 16TB of data.

At this rate, how long would my drive perform before bad sectors appear?

on a separate note i bought a 128GB MX100 just for games @ £30 2nd hand off ebay and apparently it's only written 64GB in its lifetime!

If the 840 started reallocating sectors,@ 200 TB does this reduce the size of the drive?

if i've written 16tb in 1.5years thats ~5.3 TB / Yr - thats ~37years before this would happen. so nothing to worry about then!

I wonder how large Windows 10 will be.

According to this article, you should not have been worrying about it. It will reduce the size of the drive, yes.

The 840 Pro is now up to 5591 reallocated sectors, which translates to over 8GB of flash.
