Hey, I recently bought a Samsung SSD and I'm having trouble using it because it has no Sata-Usb Cable. Should I buy one or is it possible to use it with no need of that cable?

Best regards

If it's just replacing a Hard Drive, use whatever the hard drive had to hook up to the machine. It needs to be SATA to be used as a boot drive.
It depends on the laptop. Some laptops will have a special sata connector built into the system. Just open the laptop up to find out.

This is a replacement, right? You cannot add another drive to a laptop without first removing the one in there. In this case, there should already be a connector in there. It's kinda a waste to have a 850 pro though. Unless the laptop in newer, it won't be using SATA 3

If it has came with a SATA Cable then you can use it by plugging it to your motherboard SATA Port. Or if you are looking for a SATA Cable then go with SATA III cable. You can easily find it at amazon, ebay etc.

SATA - USB cable would probably provide low performance. That nice expensive SSD provides high speeds but the USB interface will bottleneck the drive. And usually you would want the SSD as boot drive to speed up your OS that would be difficult if not impossible with USB

Yes, it's supposed to replace the existent HDD. As I didn't have the Sata-USB cable, it wasn't possible to do the data migration. But the problem is that when I start the PC with the SSD replacing the HDD, the Bios doesn´t recognize my SSD. Still, I don't want to keep my HDD files so I think I don't need the data migration program. Do I need the SATA cable or can I start my PC with the SSD other way and then install Windows using the CD? In case of a Sata Cable, can you provide me a link?
Best regards
