Question SSD shows up in storage but wont boot

I Just finished putting together my new pc, it posts but the SSD wont show up in boot list despite showing up in storage information. Ive tried updating the bios

Specs
Samsung 980 M.2 PCI-E NVMe SSD 1TB
ASUS Prime B660-Plus DDR4 Motherboard

Did you install windows on the SSD?
Did you clone or transfer your old windows to the new SSD?
An operating system must be installed on the SSD to be able to boot from it.

In UEFI mode for storage to show up in boot priority list, it has ho have OS installed on it.
You can't boot from non-bootable drive.

My bad I wasn't clear enough so porblem is that the SDD doesn't show up in the when I go to install the os.

Are you trying to install windows 7 ?
