SSD slowed computer

I built my computer in October with these specs:
2600K
Gigabyte Z68 mobo
XFX 6990
16GB RAM
2TB Caviar Black
60GB OCZ Agilty 3 SSD
AX1200 PSU
3 23in ACER LED monitors (Resolution: 6012x1080)

I bought the SSD to use as a cache for my 2TB drive. It worked AWESOME!! Then in mid November I was having boot problems so I re-installed windows and everything was ok. Then the same thing in January, and another time in February and yet another in March. I was fed up. So I bought an OCZ Synapse SSD that was built for caching hoping it would be better, it was much worse. Every time I would turn on my computer I would have to install chrome steam and all of my applications. It was like a fresh install.. every day. I was fed up with caching. So I borrowed some money from my mother to buy one big SSD for everything. Last week I ordered a brand new Corsair Force GT 480GB SSD. It came in the mail yesterday and I installed windows and my drivers last night. I am typing now on a slower computer that I had in October... The OS takes longer to boot than my 2TB+60GB combo, when I see my wallpaper it takes a while for my programs to load like Killer manager, Steam, and ALLCPUMeter(Widget thing). And my in game FPS is much slower. Garrysmod I used to be in the 200-300FPS range.. now Im fighting for 80FPS. Rigs of Rods I used to get 300+FPS in one spot, now I barely get 90FPS, I cant even play NFS Shift 2 on the lowest settings, I used to play on medium at 60FPS. Im not sure what is wrong.. at all.. Ive basically been having computer troubles since November of 2011... Ive spent over $4500+ on this darn thing and I just want it to work. The only thing I can possibly imagine is my overclock, I have the gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 board and my 2600K is at 4.7GHZ at 1.525 Volts.. Anything lower and i BSOD on Prime 95. If anyone has ANY input what so ever please give it!!

What port did you install your Corsair Force GT on? You have 4 SATA 6Gb/s ports.
You should have your SSD connected to one of the Intel 6Gb/s ports (SATA3_0 or SATA3_1), not one of the Marvell 6Gb/s ports.

Did you have any other drives connected when you did your install?
Ideally you should have just your SSD connected. Once Windows installation is complete you then connect your remaining drives.

Also, the port any SSD is connected to should be in AHCI mode for best performance.

I have it on PORT0 the 6GB/s one. Im sure its not the marvell ones.

And yes, I had my 2TB drive and my 500GB drive on PORTs 1 and 2 respectively.

I am also 95% sure it in in AHCI mode

Then the only other suggestion I have is your SATA cable. Regular SATA cbales are supposed to be able to transmit at 6Gb/s speeds but it's possible you have one of a lower quality. Buy a cable that specifically says SATA 3 (6Gb/s) and see if that works.

Im sure its not the cable, Im using the ones that came with my $200 case, they cant be crap.

have you updated the bios as there been a few bug fixes. also have you downloaded the newest intel chipset drivers and storage drivers from intel. the one on the mb web page are outdated. for the prime 95 issue. did you check to see if your ram was on the mb qal list??? if it not run cpu-z and look under the spd tab. it give the jtag info of your ram. with an overclocked cpu you want to be running in xmp mode for the ram. if the pc lock up in xmp the set it to fastest stock speed and timing.

zero write the solid state and start again perhaps?

why not just use the SSD as the OS drive and be done with??

Have you thought that maybe you have a system problem, which could be related to the VERY HIGH vicore of 1.525 - that is a double ouch.
The MAX vcore is 1.500 volts and a recommended limit of 1.400.

Recommend you back off of that Vcore and start checking stability problems.
When, and if you can get the system stable, and no BSODs, recommend you reinstall windows and an install with an unstable system can create problems.
May need to rma your CPU, and hopefully you bought the Overclock insurance from Intel. as anything over 1.500 voids their warrantee.
