SSD Space Sudden Decrease/Increase?

Hi, I was just wondering if you guys know what the reason of SSD(C Drive) sudden decrease/Increase in their space like for example my current SSD(C Drive) is 174gb/232gb(256GB SSD) it was like 176gb yesterday and maybe like 188gb last week.

-I don't do any massive download in game/stuff within that period( so far i have only downloaded 3D Mark demo(yesterday) and maybe some game update etc..etc( so if within a period of time it dropped from 188gb to 176gb(worth of 12gb) which i probably don't know what wrong.

from what i remember at least, i never download any new game at most i updated my graphic card/driver and a window 10 prompt update but i do know that the computer require a restore system/space my limit was 4.65gb but only used 2.91gb(because i don't have THAT much thing to restore if anything goes wrong or what so ever, mostly are game i can easily download from steam)

If you're on Windows 10 then that is probably the likely culprit as the OS is downloading the updates to your OS as well as your device drivers automatically and using your C: drive to store, install and refer to the system. The same can be said for older versions of Microsoft's Windows OS. You could pass on the full systems specs including your OS as I'm going on a hunch that you're on Windows 10.
