I benchmarked my wife's 840 EVO 120GB against my 850 PRO 128GB with my pro in RAPID mode and hers not.
So, the AS SSD benchmark utility is showing my SSD reading 1,000% faster than hers as I have enabled RAPID and it is using my RAM.
Now, I don't notice any speed difference in the real world between the two. Both load applications instantly and both are blazingly fast. So the question is, are we getting all excited about these benchmarks for nothing if we can't really notice any difference where it counts? One thing I will say is that on cold boot in win-7, my i3-4360 from start button to desktop loads in 10 seconds on my ASUS H97i Plus vs 15.5 seconds with her i5-4690, MSI Z97 U3 Plus board.
