Question SSD Speed

I Have a H61m-S2P motherboard that supports up to third generation from intel processors and i want to buy an ssd but i heard that with this old motherboard i will not be able to use full speed of the ssd and i dont know if this information right or wrong so i need an answer before i buy one

it have sata ii. not sata iii. so throughput would be lower. but ssd is still faster

All current SATA SSDs are SATA III.
Your system has a SATA II interface.

The "full speed" is mostly irrelevant.
A SATA III drive is still miles faster and more responsive than whatever HDD you have in there now.

For small random I/O which is what windows does 90% of the time, performance is remarkably similar.
It is only sequential operations that differ much.
Bottom line... go all ssd of any kind if you can.

SATA has seen advances useful for SSDs beyond just bandwidth, but the essential difference between 2.0 and 3.0 is just that. For the most part, it's not a big deal, and it would be a good upgrade over a hard drive regardless.
