[SOLVED] SSD storage size

If you buy a 1T ssd and install, should it show 1000g available, or less?

I just installed a 1T and it tells me that I have 931g available?

I did a format on the old 250 SSD that came with it, using command prompt window and after 3hrs it was formatted and total size was 237g.

Is this normal?

100% normal.

This is simply a difference in reporting units.

There is no space missing, nothing needs to be done.

Every SSD is different... but my Samsung drives have a program called Magician that has an erase feature.
