Question SSD the problem?

I went to upgrade my psu and I used modular cables from a different psu( I was not aware that it is harmful to the system to do that at the time). I did use the new cables for the mobo, gpu, and the cpu. However when I turned my pc on I broke my hard drive. After that happened my windows began to act weird, so I reset it. Now all my games crash after just a few mins of playing and it often crashes my whole system. Could the new gpu with older cables did something to my ssd?

Something broke. You probably need to replace the drive, and do a clean install on it.

I got a new hard drive. Is it possible that the SATA ports on the motherboard could have also shorted?

Possible, yes.

You might want to try reinstalling your motherboard drivers since you reset the pc.

I did I reinstalled all new drivers
