I recently build a computer, with 1 ssd as bootdrive and an HDD. But when i finished building it, used it for some time, i realised, i used my SSd as both boot drive and storage, while the HDD remain unused. how can i move the FILES on the SSD to HDD? thanks

But how do i move the Program Files, etc, to the storage? Should I just copy and paste?

and it seems that i cant move some files on the appdata, can you help?

Does it say that you don't own the files or you need admin permission? If so take ownership of the files using the takeown command - this tutorial.

it says that the file is being used its the usrclass.dat if iam not mistaken

Ok, then you will probably need to use another computer and both the other drives in caddys, why do you want to move appdata in the first place though? It has temporary files that would benefit from being on the SSD

can you tell me to unmove the appdata? and can i move the program files?

I wouldn't move the program files as they are what the SSD is supposed to be used for. To "unmove" appdata, just move the AppData folder from your HDD back to the SSD, it should be in C:/Users/*YOUR USERNAME HERE*/

allright thanks man, but my friends said that the program files, or downloaded games, apps everything on program files (86x) should be on the HDD not SSD, as it will take up the spaces? Is this true?

and also that, the web you said told me to move the appdata, but i have decreased the number of storage on my ssd by migrating my documents, pics etc

Yeah, sorry. It's just that AppData will benefit from being on an SSD. What do you mean by decreasing the storage? You have more free space?

yese, since i have installed all my PC files on my SSD not the HDD which i was supposedly doing, but i forgot to add the new volume when assembling it, oh and i put it as solved because i accidentally pressed it, but its kinda solved with the first answer
