Hey,
I had a quick question that I wanted some clarification on. I have just purchased a new computer that has windows 10 installed on an SSD, I was going to buy and install a Samsung m.2 drive and wanted it to be my boot drive. To do this I need to format the SSD using DBAN, install the m.2 drive into the motherboard (ASrock z170 PRO4s) and then change the settings in the BIOS (do you know which settings I need to change?), create a bootable windows 10 UEFI USB and then just follow the steps to install it yeah?
I've never touched an m.2 drive before so sorry for the probably very stupid and simple question, I just don't fancy bumming up my new computer! haha

Thank you for any help anyone can give me! :)

Done properly, a clone operation works. I've done it many times, with zero data loss or other weirdness.

But a clean install on the new drive works as well. It also gets around all that crapware that the system probably came with.

Yes, your steps above are correct, mostly.
Be sure the system is fully activated before you wipe the SSD.
This ensures that the activation servers will recognize this system when you install the OS on the new drive.
I've heard an absolute tonne of stories about people migrating and having so many problems so I thought i'd just do a completely fresh install seeing as no data will be lost. Are those steps all correct then to install the m.2 and use it as my boot drive?
