SSD "Total Bytes Written" Increases incredibly fast

3 Months ago I bought a Samsung SSD 840 Series (512GB).
It's been working perfectly fine but in the SSD control program you can view the "Total Bytes Written" value, which increases way faster than I thought it would. After 3 months the current TBW is 4.25 TB, and the value seems to increase by 0.1 to 0.5 every day.

This seems really odd to me, since any big downloads I make are send directly to make second HDD and not the SSD. And even if I put large files on my SSD they're not nearly the size of 10 to 50 Gigabyte.

I feel like at this rate my SSD will not last as long as I imagined it would.
Could somebody explain to me where this high amount of bytes written is coming from, am I overlooking something?

Thanks in advance! <3

I know this post is old, But if your page file is on the SSD and u max out your ram gaming or have low system ram the page file will see a lot of activity. My page file is on a fast HD it slows down the system i little but the TBW after 4 months on my 850 evo is 0.39TB
