[SOLVED] SSD underperforming?

Solution
how would i check the temperatures on the SSD as speccy doesnt have a temperature

CrystalDiskInfo does that (which I had in parens), but also HWiNFO64, AIDA64, Hard Disk Sentinel, etc.

The idle temperature isn't an issue but the temp you hit while gaming and benchmarking. SSD controllers will throttle past around 70C. This will impact speeds and consistency. The P5 is known for running hot, is why I ask.

how does one do this?
Install and run CrystalDiskInfo. This will give us some info about the drive.

Install and run CrystalDiskMark. This will test its performance.

Crucial P5
https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-p5-ssd

"read/write speeds up to 3400/3000MB/s "

Your tested speed is a little low.
BUT....it is the C drive, and you almost certainly have other stuff running at the same time.
is there anything that can be done? is this a normal read for an SSD with windows on? would only having 282GB free of 930GB cause this?

even worse now its running at 1914 read and 2000 write

i have a game running on the SSD but the game still seems to load slower than a lot of my mates, stuck on loading screens while they're in the game.

"is there anything that can be done?"

Yes.
Don't do benchmarks while a game is running! Or most other software.

The published numbers from Crucial are best case laboratory functionality. A mostly empty drive, with nothing else running on it.
Including Windows.

Your drive is fine.

Also, ignore UBM for most things. It is a poor tool that prompts users to freak out over nothing.
I see, the game was closed during the benchmark, was just saying i have the game on that same SSD and still get slow loading times, could be numerous things tho, could be due to my CPU lacking. Can i not max out my RAM because of my CPU?

i also re done a test with everything closed, even chrome just sat on my desktop and the Read speed was coming in at 1623 now.., and writing at 1952 lol

Crucial Storage Executive should do this.

that is my current temp, how much free strorage space on a 930GB ssd would you say to leave free? also what would you suggest on terms of a better CPU for my system, as it is the least best thing on my system. would you upgrade from 16GB ram to 32 also?

why so low now lol

For a 1TB drive, don't go over 800GB consumed space. So you're fine there.

For the speed, again...you almost certainly have a lot of gunk running in the background. Not just the game.

so i can go up to 200GB remaining space free? and is this a bad thing to be running at tho, or should i just leave it now, also this is my RAM atm, View: https://imgur.com/a/6g2cKg8

do i see if i can enable XMP?

UBM is saying you have a lot of background stuff running which can give some odd numbers when running the benchmark.
Reboot the machine and let it sit for 5 mins.
Run the UBM and post a link.

Ram.....enable xmp in the bios and see if it bumps the speed to 2400.
Couldnt find XMP but i think my CPU maxes it out at 2133 ..
