I want to upgrade my sony vaio sve15133cn(intel i3-3120M,CPU@2.50 GHz) laptop. Does this laptop has m.2 slot? If not,I want to remove my HDD and put it on Optical drive through Caddy.is it possible, will it support?? Also I want to add SSD in place of HDD but don't know which SSD will support and of how much space??Can anyone please guide me?

Solution
Easiest solution for an old laptop is a 2.5" SATA III SSD.
Direct drop in replacement for the HDD.

Samsung 860 EVO ro Crucial MX500.
What is your budget for this?

HDD in the DVD caddy place? Unknown.
Consider just one large SSD.
