Hello, I am looking to upgrade my SSD for my Dell Precision after failing at upgrading the GPU.
My specs are:
CPU: Dual Quad-Core E5345 @ 2.33GHz
GPU: Fx 3500 - Was trying to upgrade to GTX 750 but no signal.
HDD: I'm not sure what they are but I have 2 Hard drives both 232 Gbs.

I am planning on replacing the hard drive with the OS installed on it and backing all the files onto the other one.
My maximum budget would be $100, I'm not looking for anything amazing, I just want a faster drive then my current one which shouldn't be hard to find as it is super old and is a HDD.

Here is the specs page:

Not a very big selection there... Of the ones on that site, I would go with this one: http://www.msy.com.au/pc-components/5395-samsung-840bw-evo-mz-7te120bw-120g-sataiii-ssd-solid-state-drive.html

It's a bit overkill though. It's a SATA 3 with 6GBit/s transfer rate, while your system supports SATA 2 at 3GBit/s. The SATA 3 drives are backwards compatible, but if you can find a source for SATA2 SSDs, they'll probably be cheaper.

Too bad about the GPU. That's not a bad system but it definitely lends itself to 3D rendering rather than gaming.

Alright thanks a lot I'll keep it bookmarked :)
I'll also need a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter right?
Oh and I looked around for SATA 2 SSDs and surprisingly I couldn't even find one!

hmm... yeh I'll go with the adapter since it's selling at the same place for $6 :)
Thanks for your help! Now I've just gotta get this Graphics Card to work haha.
