SSD upgrade question

i have M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 as motherboard. i want to buy a ssd but i dont know if my computer gonna support it. this 'sata' thing confuses me.

so if i would bu Kingston 240GB HyperX 3K, would it work on my computer?

That would work fine since your MB supports sata 6gb transfer speeds.

SATA is what your CD, DVD, Hard drive, and soon, SSD all connect to. It is how they communicate with the rest of your system.
