Hello and thanks for your time. I have a stock HP Phoenix H9-1350(except for the XFX R9 280x DD) with a failing HDD that I want to fix for my 11 year old son to game on. I purchased a 256GB Samsung 850 Pro and a copy of Windows 8.1. How would I go about hooking this up? Is it as simple as removing the HDD, connecting the SSD and inserting/running the Windows DVD? Thanks in advance!

Hey there, ralfie35!

Yes, it's pretty easy to install your new SSD. I can suggest you a couple of links to look over before proceeding.
Just make sure you unplug the HDD and leave only the SSD plugged in the SATA ports.
Also another thing you should check before installing the OS is the SATA mode in the BIOS, it should be set to AHCI for the SSD.
