Looking for a solid SSD for gaming. Looking for a 250GB or something under 100 Looked at several on Newegg, but alot don't say if they are good for gaming. My current SSd runs around 700mbs.

What is the make/model, of your motherboard? Pretty much any SSD will be fine to use for games. I use an Intel 660p, in my desktop, and a Crucial MX500, in my laptop, and don't notice any difference between the two, with regards to game load time.

SSD's are good for fast file transfers. They aren't designed for faster gaming - even though it is a side affect. Mostly what you get if faster start time(starting ther game) and level loading. Actual gaming(frame rate) increase is negligible.

If it was $20 it was a small drive.

if you have a budget of $100, but the BX500 960gb (or similar) to give you 1TB of SSD storage to fit more games on it.

Quite a few modern games are very, very large, over 100gb. So if you end up playing those games, and you need even more SSDs, you end up with lots of small SSDs which are very annoying to manage.

Some options:
960GB BX500 - 99.99 as above
500gb WD Blue 3D NAND 59.99
250gb BX500 $39.99

If you look at the price per GB, 500gb is a better buy than 250gb. And 960gb is a bit better buy than 500gb.
