Hi, I just bought myself a copy of Komplete 10 Ultimate (440GB of music production software). As of now, i have a 128GB ssd (full) and a 1.5TB hdd (5000rpm). Im wondering if i should buy a new ssd (Samsung 840 EVO 500GB) just for Komplete, because I'm afraid the hdd will slow the programs down, concidering some of them (ex. Kontakt) are dealing with massive amounts of samples.

Short: Should I buy a new ssd just for Komplete?

Thanks.

Well it's really up to you, if you have spare money and want to upgrade your SSD anyways then why not, if you stop using the program you'll still have a huge SSD to use. If you think a standard HDD won't do the job that's all the more reason. Perhaps try out with your HDD and see how you like it (If you don't mind installing and uninstalling again).

If it's too much of a pain, go for the SSD. If you got any further questions let me know but it really comes down to your preference, select a solution once you decided what to do. Let me know if you need help picking a SSD.
