Hello,
I am really worried about this value in my ssd.
I own Samsung 840 pro 256.
I have done all things, disabling backups, moving temps to hdd and even using Samsung magician to set up some settings.
The delta value is still increasing, I am using 50 GB on this ssd, should I be worried about it? Expecially when I only use programs and I am not installing/deleting anything since I installed my system.Same goes to lifetime writes, for me, they are way too high for what I am doing on this pc, most of the time it idles. So in fact only Windows 7 runs all the time.

It makes me feel bad about this drive, because the first one I received was faulty and Samsung told me that it was all my fault and they refused to take any actions where the shop where I bought it from said to me it is for sure the drive's fault and they send me a new one.

50 gb used of the total 256 is well within limits. you should just make sure to have 10% free at all times

-that smart attribute is the max difference in percents between the most used and most unused blocks of flash. it is perfectly normal.

things to optimize - all on samsung magician:
-make sure ahci is on (main page)
osoptimization (samsung magician) and the advanced tab
-disable hibernation
-set a fixed virtual memory size (8gb or 16 gb) can stay on the ssd no problem
-disble indexing (ssd are already great at searching)
-disable prefect/superfetch
-write cache buffer on
-power options: turn off hdd after never
-turn off system restore on all drives
overprovisioning:
-set a 10% op

windows:
-disable defragmentation on schedule
-make sure trim is on

properly set, any latest gen ssd should last 30years with 20gb written each day. your samsung pro drive is in the upper range of quality/performance. dont worry about it.

Disabling indexer is not recommended on windows 8.1 and above. the search in the start menu totally stops working if you disable it. So if you ever update your version, be aware of this.
