Hi, got my first SSD today, when I was installing windows, I only had SSD as the storage available, and when I run the WEI assesment it was rated 7.8 for the speed. Then, I installed a HDD and messed around with the Device Manager, I accidentally 'updated' my HyperX 3K 120G SSD and it was renamed to disk drive ( as shown in this image ). Then I reran the assessment and the rating was downed to 5.9. Any idea?

Is it because that I installed the HDD? If so, how to make the SSD as primary? Or it wont affect my SSD speed.

Or is it because of the 'disk drive' as shown in Device Manager? Does that degrade my SSD speed? If so, how to fix?

Thanks a bunch.

The WEI score is irrelevent and doesn't effect performance. It's just a number. Also, the WEI goes by the lowest score in each catagory. All standard hard drives score a 5.9 on the WEI and since this score is lower than your SSD, this is what it will show.
