[SOLVED] SSD WINDOWS PROBLEM(installation)

Hello I am building my first pc and I am downloading windows 10 onto my ssd which has a 240gb capacity.When I choose which drive I would like to download windows on the only partition that shows up is a 20mb one. I checked the bios and it detects the ssd(240gb) and the 20mb Drive but when I check what it detects in the sata port on the motherboard it shows the 20mb.

How do you format the ssd? In the bios because I can’t format the 20mb drive or delete it

When asked where to install Windows, click options, then new, then format.

Try diskpart and see if able to clean and format the SSD there.

If still no go, I suggest returning it as defective, to be replaced.

Do I need another PC to use DiskPart?

No, try Sift+F10 to open a command prompt.

and then list disk and post the result

1. You want ONLY the SSD connected while you do this.
2. When it asks 'where', select Custom
You'll be presented with a list of all partitions on the drive.
DELETE each one, leaving one blank unallocated space.
Click Next, and proceed on
