SSD with bad blocks

Hello,

I bought a Sandisk SSD PLUS 120gb yesterday, and when I installed the CrystalDiskInfo after OS instalation, it shows me that the value "Total Bad Block Count" is 150, but the health value is 100% (on SanDisk SSD Dashboard it shows me the same values). Is this normal for a brand new SSD? I saw opposite opinions on internet about that. Here is a screenshot of CrystalDiskInfo: imgur.com/a/70dA5kw

Thanks in advance!

No you'll be okay. A 120 GB SSD has 251658240 blocks. Most, if not all modern storage devices have something called "over provisioning", which saves some of the drive away from user access so if something happens, such as bad blocks, it'll "swap" it out so you're not using bad blocks. Also note that there is always a margin of error, so its probably just a manufacturing defect, but the drive is perfectly healthy.

Thanks by the explanation, I will check in the next days if the value incresases! Another question: It is safe to update SSD? On SanDisk SSD Dashboard, says that I have a update for my SSD, but I'm worried of something goes wrong

It's safe. It won't change the "bad block" count unless it was an error in the S.M.A.R.T. recording of the device. The firmware update will increase compatibility among several devices, as well solve some issues that may have been present on launch. Just make sure you don't lose power to the device while it is upgrading the firmware, as it may cause the drive to no longer work.
