Hi,
I've searched the community for a possible answer, but nothing I've found has worked so I'll try asking here.

I bought an SSD (C drive) on which I installed the latest version of Windows 10 Home. I succesfully moved my Program Files to my D drive via regedit.

Now, everytime I install a program, I don't get to see it in the start menu, I can't search for it.

I have tried to:
- change the default location of my ProgramData file to my D drive
- re-index my search and included Program Files on the D drive.

These 'solutions' above have not helped me so I'm hoping someone could help me figure this out.

Thanks in advance
Jonas

No, that was not a success.
That is a major fail.

Yours is the second one of these I've seen today.

You can't do it like that. Many, many things will fail. What you see is merely the beginning.
You probably can't even get back into Regedit to attempt a fix.

The only 100% 'fix' I know of is a full wipe and reinstall.

Alright, not a problem, but would you happen to know how I can do this the right way then?

To manage space between the SSD and other drives, see this:

Win 7 & 8: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1834397/ssd-redirecting-static-files.html
Win 8.1 & 10: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2024314/windows-redirecting-folders-drives.html

Ultimately, you don't want to try to force everything to be installed to a different drive.
Many things will choke, and many things you DO want on the SSD.

When installing something, you choose. Don't just accept the defaults. Which you shouldn't do anyway.
