I plugged a SSD into my PC and I go into disk management to format it. But when I got there, it says "Disk 1 Unknown Not Initialized" so I right click it and the option to initialize the disk is grayed out. So I press properties and go to volume and it says that the capacity is 0MBs. I don't know if it's broken or anything. Please help me

What OS do you use? May need a driver. What brand is your ssd and your older drive? You should be able to get a cloning software from one of the manufacturers to setup the disc.

Just got a cheap inland 120 for some testing purposes. Tried to easeus partition it and clone the hdd to the ssd, but the partitions would never boot, so my hdd was seagate, got the seagate discwizard and it cloned fine.

I had an intel 320 series 160GB that would bug to 8MB, had to use the intel tools to secure erase it and recover it to 160GB
