Hi there.

I just bought an used Workstation.

CPU: i7 4790k
MOBO: Maximus VII Hero
SSD: Evo 840 250GB
GPU: GTX 970
RAM: G.Skill Trident X (2x8GB)

I have some questions:

    1. Regarding a SSD schematics to run After Effects and C4D. I plan to buy 3 more EVO SSD´s. (1: OS-Programs / 2: Media Files / 3: Scratch / 4: Export) Will it work fine?

    2. An M.2 SSD would benefit me in any way?

    3. The RAMDisk that I can create directly from my RAM memory, is it worth it? If I take, let´s say, 4GB of my memory to use as a Scratch Disk, I will lose a lot of performance in AE, right?

    4. One last question. If I want to Hackintosh, will I lose any performance of my components?

Any considerations or tweaks so I can take the most of the build I´ve bought (I bought it from a work partner, we both are Motion Graphics Designers)

As of right now and where M.2 is right now in terms of speeds, I would not recommend an M.2 SSD quite yet, There just isn't enough of a boost in speed for you to buy one.
