SSD's not working on my Dell XPS l502x?

Recently I tried to replace the 750GB HDD in my Dell XPS L502x for a 240GB kingston SSD.

But when installing windows 7 home premium it says windows could not format the SSD drive, normally I tried other SSDs from other brands and other capacities, but all with no success! It seems that it doesn't work right no matter what SSD I plug in.

Also I tried installing other versions of windows 7, both using a CD and a USB bootable drive all with the same problem. In fact the System gets all weird and slow even in the BIOS when the SSD is plugged in the fixed HDD slot.

The weird part is that I bought a second HD Caddy to replace my DVD-rw for a normal HDD and the SSD works 100% normal if I put him in the caddy and plug where the DVD reader was!!! I can format and install windows if the SSD is there, but unfortunately it is impossible to boot the System from there. The SSDs that i tested only showed weird problems whem conected to the mais HDD SATA port that is located nearly under the touch pad. But this works perfectly fine with my current 750GB HDD, i never had any problems with it only when i plug in the SSD's.

Please I need to know if there is anything i can do to solve this issue or i will have to return de SSD i bought!

Thanks,

Victor

popatim, thanks for your reply.
Yes I have tried with the A12 Bios, A06, and a custom A12 bios, but right now it is the A12.

About the uefi bios, in the A12 at least i don't remember seeing the options to change, but I will check the link you provided and see if it works, i just don't have the time right now.

Thanks,

Victor

popatim, so i checked again for your uefi sugestion, but i found out that apparently it doesn't support uefi. i am not 100% sure though, but since i used the A12 Bios and there wasn't this option i really don't think it is possible.
But i am totally open to try new ideas at this point since i have tried A LOT of stuff!

Thanks
Victor
