I mostly use SSDs and when I use a hard drive I usually am not around that system often so I rly wouldn't know. I recently decided to get an SSHD for my personal rig. It's a firecuda 3.5in 2gb SSHD. I started noticing noises from it and I have no idea whether its just normal hard drive behavior or something wrong but I went and looked into it. I installed seatool from seagate and when I ran the SMART test it said that it failed. Is this accurate? Is there something wrong with the drive? I just got it 3 weeks ago and it's supposed to be brand new from amazon.

Did you order from Amazon or another seller?

I ordered from this specific page https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IEKG2HM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have discovered something though, I had originally performed the SMART test through seatool from seagate. After more internet research I found that I could perform the command "wmic diskdrive get status" in command prompt to perform a SMART checkup. I did it and the result was a solid OK. So I'm just confused now, is there a problem with my disk, is it something to do with the fact that it's an SSHD?

If Seatools says it's bad, send it back.
