Please follow these steps to solve your problem:

Open Internet Explorer and go to:
Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Enable or Disable Add-ons
Click on SSVHelper Class
Select Disable under Settings.

Dear Matan,
This fix helped my IE start running right again - thank you so much! I do still have another issue though.

Apparently, when this trojan tried to take over my computer, it moved stuff around, so now when you try to open things like Word, Solitaire, and basically anything else, the error message will say the application is not found. Your fix repaired the IE opening properly but everything else is still messed up. I did not want to reinstall my computer back to factory settings with the CDs that came with it, because I know we will lose everything (itunes songs, etc.). Any suggestions on how to fix this issue!
