Stable voltage on 4670k?

Using a Hyper 212 Evo, I had my processor set to 43 and my voltage to 1.270. I ran IBT on standard 40 times and high 20 times and all runs were successful. However, when playing my game, it randomly blue screened. I'm guessing the voltage isn't sufficient for it, so what should I set it to? I heard going past 1.300 makes the processor die out faster so I don't want to do that unless I really have to.

I can achieve a multiplier of 42 (4.2GHz) with no voltage changes.

I suggest you try 41 and if stable, 42. Going above 42 likely involves other changes to the Intel Power Management system which can significantly raise the temperature for a minimal real-world difference.

1) click "XMP"
2) then change to "MANUAL"
3) Multiplier for all cores at 41 (start with 41)
4) check that RAM frequency is correct (fix if not)
5) save
6) run MEMTEST www.memtest.org for one full loop (30min roughly for 8GB)
7) boot to Windows and run Prime95 for at least 10 minutes.

I've referred to Intel God's guide before but there wasn't any help with my motherboard (Gigabyte Z87-UD3H) since everyone had ASRock or Asus.

when i OCed my i5, the PC used to freeze when the voltage wasn't enough, i havn't seen the blue screen. i've heard the blue screen is more like memory related if am not mistaken. and i can conclude that too from photonboy's reply.
did you do as he suggested? making sure the rams' voltage and latencies match those on the memory lable.
