Standalone LAN drives for WIN 7

Hello,
I am replacing PCs on my home network with new running Win 7. Now my existing LAN standalone backup drive will not work. Are there any available that will work with Win 7 ??

There's a hundred different ways to setup a "LAN standalone backup drive". Was this a windows share on a system that got upgraded to Win7? Can you describe what this back-up drive is and how you use to connect to it?
