Hello,
On a Windows 7 PC what do the HALT options mean and how should they be set. My system will attempt to boot Windows but fails to complete it and reverts to a black screen with a solid steady cursor.

they will give a warning if no keyboard is detected etc

set it to halt on no errors

is your hard drive listed in the bios as it sounds like its not finding a bootable device

See if you can boot to a bootable DVD. (set the optical drive as the first boot device in BIOS if it isn't already)
