Cheap? fuck off. Not everyone can afford a recurrent fee for a game. Play the game for a year and you'll see the cost.

If Cryptic could concentrate their resources on 52 missions a year or even 26, they'd be a hit, for sure. Instead, they'll only be making a handful in 2012. Fail.

"But once Perfect World Entertainment acquired Cryptic Studios in 2011"

Cryptic acquired prefect world not other way around. Prefect world was going bankrupt.

Honestly, does anyone really care about this game with all the other AAA games that are out there now and coming in the future? This will probably be the last we hear of this game until the time that they shutdown the servers for good.

If they would have kept up with content of new playable factions like Romulans it wouldn't have failed! There are only 2 sides Federation and Klingons, this game was doomed when they stopped making new playable factions and it will fail in F2P if the dont add them. And I was stupid enough to buy a lifetime subscription when it came out!

Its a Very fun game if you like Star Trek Command game but, it gets BORING after the faction missions are completed.

Ummm No..... "China-based online game company Perfect World announced today it has acquired Champions Online developer Cryptic Studios from Atari. Under the agreement, Perfect World will acquire 100% equity interest in Cryptic Studios, Inc. and will pay an aggregate purchase price of approximately EUR 35.0 million in cash"

There will always be the Chinese gold farmers making money on F2P games. Doesn't matter how bad they are.

no matter chinese or Greeks (gold farming could save us Greeks from crysis, just saying lol) f2p games are welcome , best model to see if you like a game or not before paying for it.
Of course F2P games have a thing of making you pay more in 1 year than a 1 year subscription..unless you can control your urges...
