Anyone heard anything good/bad about this title? Is it really an RPG or more
of a space shoot-em up/rts pretending to be?

There are many SW titles out there. Could you be more specific?

If you mean Star Wars Galaxies, the main game is definitely an RPG,
while the space part is twitch. Do some searching for reviews, as they
will have far more information than I can provide.

Sounds good - I must get the demo now (which I still haven't had a chance
to).

Fun Fact of the Day: In exit polls at the election 2004 the percentage of American
voters citing moral and ethical values as their prime concern was 22 percent,
continuing a trend of *decreasing* perceived importance of morals: In the 2000
election 35 percent cited morals & ethical values as their prime concern, and in
1996 a whopping 40%, almost twice as many as in 2004.
(Bet you hadn't gotten that impression from the press, had you?)

Hahah if you can get around the cheesy and horribly written/voice acted
dialoge the game is excellent. The dialog is so... well its aboslutely
horrible to the nth degree. Really it is that bad, but its quite obviouse
that its a Russian game {just look at the hero's they are so russian looking
its not funny! :)} and has just been translated by babblefish or something
like that.

The ship controls aren't that hot either. Get Homeworld instead. IMO.

Oh no doubt, Homeworld, Cataclysm and Homeworld 2 are better, but when you
consider that Star Wolves is just fun to play in its own right, its
definitely worth a few bucks.

Must say though, without wanting to destroy anyone's desires to complete the
game, that the ending is just... haha well my jaw was on the floor once it
was over.

So the cons:
Horrible horrible voice and written dialog, sometimes its so bad you're not
actually sure what it is your saying and with what inclination.
Ending is... well, you'll see :p
Some of the missions are just stupid, but they are rare.

Pros:
Graphics are good enough {not Homeworld 2 but what do you expect?}
RPG System is actually quite good, the build up of your pilots is fun, and
its almost making me want to play a second time through to try a different
skill specialisation for the main hero.
There seem to be actual consequences to your dialog choices. Yes, true
sometimes you have very little idea what your really saying, but hey, its
the thought that counts!
There _is_ definite tactical consideration required in many of the battles
to keep your pilots alive. You have to use their special abilities/ships to
their fullest.

Get the game if your starved of a Homeworld type game, it truly is worth it.
And maybe if they get enough sales to make a sequel they can hire a proper
translator/script writer!
