Oh no doubt, Homeworld, Cataclysm and Homeworld 2 are better, but when you
consider that Star Wolves is just fun to play in its own right, its
definitely worth a few bucks.
Must say though, without wanting to destroy anyone's desires to complete the
game, that the ending is just... haha well my jaw was on the floor once it
was over.
So the cons:
Horrible horrible voice and written dialog, sometimes its so bad you're not
actually sure what it is your saying and with what inclination.
Ending is... well, you'll see
Some of the missions are just stupid, but they are rare.
Pros:
Graphics are good enough {not Homeworld 2 but what do you expect?}
RPG System is actually quite good, the build up of your pilots is fun, and
its almost making me want to play a second time through to try a different
skill specialisation for the main hero.
There seem to be actual consequences to your dialog choices. Yes, true
sometimes you have very little idea what your really saying, but hey, its
the thought that counts!
There _is_ definite tactical consideration required in many of the battles
to keep your pilots alive. You have to use their special abilities/ships to
their fullest.
Get the game if your starved of a Homeworld type game, it truly is worth it.
And maybe if they get enough sales to make a sequel they can hire a proper
translator/script writer!
