Starcraft lost cd key

i recently bought a new laptop and had to re-install starcraft. it asked for a cd-key... i have no idea where the game's box is :-/ any advice on how i can fix this problem without spending money on another game? thanks for the help!

Do you still have the computer that you had starcraft installed on? You should be able to use a tool to search the registry for the key.

otherwise you need to look for the box, i had to do it before, a fun search of several hours...
