Sometimes those 3 mentioned above won’t work, Ive done Updating windows to the latest, Cmd prompt and type Dism /Onine /cleanup-image /restorehealth and sfc scan. Sometimes a simple restart fixed but it will comeback not working again. Sorry for english, not my first language. Thank you.

i just said even with that command it still comeback

Sorry my bad. 😁

Check task manager and Look for Windows explorer and click Restart. It should work.

If not, check if Windows Search Services is running.

Type Win+R, type Services.msc, then press enter.

A window will open. Scroll down and look for Windows Search. Check if its running. Right click and select Restart. If disabled, just right click and select Start.

Alternatively try Windows trouble shooter.
Go to Settings, Update and security, Troubleshoot, Search and Indexing, then click the Run the trouble shooter.

Did this happen immediately right after windows update?

Hi. Strange. I saw quite a few about this issue.

Any new apps installed berofre the Windows Update?

Have you tried doing these as well?
  1. check if Windows Search Services is running.
  2. Alternatively try Windows trouble shooter

Could be a conflict with some third party app or an indexing problem.
Some tried to do a "Restore", but didn't work either.

Most ended up installing an image or a fresh install.

You should file a service ticket in Micrsoft for this too.
