Start in safe mode then do malware scan

I have a system running Windows 8 and am ate up with adware. I run scans, remove all kinds of junk, but right back. I need to run in safe mode and run virus software but don't know how to run it after I'm in safe mode.

I would run adwcleaner as well.

Click on scan wait for it to finish. Click on clean wait for that to finish then reboot

Then run it again click on uninstall

Close browsers first

I would also disable system restore then turn it back on after
