How do I pull up taskbar while playing games? I want to be on google chrome while being in a pregame lobby, but at the same time hear the game, so I know when it starts. I know you can do this, because my game was like that before I uninstalled h1z1 to move it to another hardrive. But for some reason it doesn't pull up the taskbar anymore. Please dont say alt tab or windows key tab that just brings me to the dashboard. I want to be able to have the taskbar at the bottom. Also I dont want the taskbar to be stuck there when the game starts. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure why you would use the taskbar while in game you know Steam allows you to navigate with it's built Web Browser based on Google Chrome, just need to set an input to enable the Steam Overlay in game and you can navigate ingame while waiting the match to start.. But if you still wan't to play with Windows Taskbar I suggest you to run the game in Windowed-Fullscreen if it's possible.

I would but steam overlay doesnt work for most of my games. If i turn on steam overlay it narrows my res to 240p, it also makes it have black bars where i can only see 20% of the screen. I have a 1440p monitor. Even if i set launch options from steam to 1440p it still doesnt work. So i just turn steam overlay off.

Also another thing I forgot to mention is, steam overlay doesnt let you control obs, spotify or discord.

That's weird most of people running games at 4K can use Steam Overlay normally and such.. are using any Steam SKIn, have you set any custom DPI for your applications?
