I have a gateway that was shut during update. It tries but won't boot up. After long period it will try to auto repair but won't..i was told I need to put Windows back on it. Can I do this with out it booting up and can I do it from a sub as it doesn't have a CD or DVD player

Yes, you can access windows install without booting into windows. You need to mount the iso to your usb then boot into it. There's a lot of tutorials for it on websites like youtube, and it's not as difficult as it may seem.
