Question Start up Menu

I am on HP pavilion TS 11 laptop, Windows 10.

My laptop is not booting directly to Windows log in screen.
It's as if someone invisible is pressing ESC key to interrupt boot, and it boots into startup menu.
Everytime I have to press enter to continue to go to login screen.
I went into bios , load defaults, even then same issue.

Any guesses?

PS: could it be because I reset windows 10 , it reinstall windows 8 ( original OS with which it came) and then upgraded to win 10 later?

The "factory reset" will return the system to as it came out of the box.
Evidently, Win 8.1.

If you've subsequently upgraded that to Win 10....just do a full wipe and reinstall of Win 10.
You do not need to go back to 8.1 first.

F1 system information
F2 system diagnosis
F9 boot device options
F10 BIOS setup
F11 system recovery
Enter continue startup

I have to press enter everytime to get into windows welcome screen.

I believe above menu should appear only when ESC key is
