start up problem

Just installed a new cpu and mother board to my computer. Operating system was requiring hardware key again. Now that i have installed everything to my new mother board including my new cpu i get and error on start up saying to repair. it then just searches for ages. If you have any ideas please help. (hard drive is in good condition).

Have you reinstalled Windows?

Could be AHCI settings in BIOS are on/off. Try changing to IDE or AHCI in BIOS to see if you can start up.
