I recently built my first computer and it was running perfectly for two weeks, I was monitoring temperatures, adding fans for airflow and watching everything closely to make sure it was set up right. Last night I was on it playing games and it was working perfectly fine with temperatures where they normally are. However when I booted up my PC this morning to play my game crashed extremely quickly and I started getting little symbols of different colors on my screen resulting in my computer crashing and freezing. At first it was just the game and everthing else was working correctly however now I cant even log in without the symbols appearing and my pc freezing instantly. Im worried since I just built it two weeks ago that my GPU is broken even though I dont over clock and have things set up to notify me if components are getting to hot. Im thinking about bringing it in somewhere to get help with the problem but I figured I would come here and see if anyone might know whats going on.

My specs are as follows

CPU

Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler

be quiet! - Dark Rock 4 CPU Cooler
Motherboard
Asus - ROG STRIX B360-I GAMING Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory

Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Storage

Intel - 660p Series 1 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $104.89
Video Card

Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB WINDFORCE Video Card
Case

NZXT - H500 ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply

Corsair - TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply

OS windows 10

From the problem which you have just described, it sounds like a faulty GPU, maybe a VRAM corruption issue, if you are getting artifacts, and other glitches.

Can you boot your system via the motherboard's Integrated Graphics Processor , iGPU? Just check whether doing this makes any difference or not ? Can you post a screenshot of the Monitor's screen, with those artifacts ?

This is what it looks like when I get past this screen it starts to do it even more, I took my time when putting together my computer i'm worried something might have went wrong, are graphics cards deficiencies common problems?

Okay/....Are you talking about this screen/image, because your other link isn't working. Yeah, I do see those purple/blue artifacts though......

Then I think this might indicate a faulty Video card, or some bad cable connection, but it's hard to jump to any conclusion, unless the GPU has been tested on some other system. Can you check the GPU on some other PC as well, IF possible ?

Also, like I have mentioned above, try to first Boot your system via the motherboard's Integrated Graphics Processor , iGPU... Just check whether doing this makes any difference or not ?

Ill give that a try, I checked all the cables and they are all plugged in properly, I am just confused why it worked so well for two weeks then all of sudden stopped working

my monitor wont even detect the picture to let me boot into BIOS now to make the change.

No. Don't go to the BIOS screen. I meant to say, first remove your GPU from the motherboard's slot, and then plug in the Monitor's cable to the HDMI/DP port of your MOBO, which has support for integrated graphics. And then BOOT the PC...

works perfect when i take out graphics card, Im wondering if it was something I did or i just got unlucky with the graphics card, like i said I didnt over clock and made sure my temps stayed low
