I turned my computer on for the second time today and there was no display. I waited a while and then held the power button to turn it off then I rebooted. The display turned back on, and inside my pc all the fans are spinning. temps are fine, is everything all good?

edit: voltages are all good too.
12V: 12.056V
3.3V: 3.360V
5V: 5.016V

please dont comment if you dont have anything useful to say

first off does this happen more often then just the one time it happened?

please post your specs, age of computer, recent upgrades? overclocks

also please try with a new psu if you can and hear for any beeps... also try a different outlet

here is a few thing i recommend doing if it does not boot again
1) Update bios(if possible)
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/308518-30-update-bios
2) Clear Cmos, do this if you cant start or have messed with the bios (don’t forget to unplug the computer from the wall and let it sit for few minutes, if you don’t have a jumper than remove the battery make sure the computer is unplugged and let it for about10 minutes before putting the battery back in)

3) Check your psu

4) Make sure your computer is hooked up correctly

5) Run memtest(if possible)
http://www.memtest.org/
6) Run Burnintest (if possible)

7) If all else fails then try a gpu, Ram, or psu from another computer
Hope this helped! 😀

thanks for your reply! this only happened once. it hasn't happened since.

i also had an upgrade to a seasonic m12ii 620w a month or two ago. my specs are:

msi 970a-g-46 motherboard
amd phenom ii x4 965 be (stock speed) (running awesome!)
HIS IceQ X Radeon HD 7850 2GB. (im pretty sure it is pushed in all the way)
antec 300 case
G.SKILL ripjaw X 8gb of ram (it is registered)
(none of these are OC'd)
I was freaked out and I thought it was just a windows problem. I went into the windows devices section and ALL the devices were working properly. I think I will also check for GPU driver updates because it could also be that.

EDIT: my drivers are up to date unless I want to go to the 13.2 beta drivers.
