My motherboard shows no sign of life. Even the psu fan does not work when i turn it up. Jump starting the pins of the switch on the motherboard does not work either. I did something weird but i removed the cpu so it wont get damaged. I put a paperclip at the back of the 24 pin power cable to connect the black and the green wire. I read that the green is for the motherboard and the black is for the PSU. And BAMMM! My cpu fan worked and the PSU fan. The LEDs in my RAM also lit up. But the motherboard LED only lit up for a second then died. So i am not sure if what i did is really "starting up" the motherboard since there is no processor. Now I wanna know if it is safe to do this so I can put my processor and know if it boots.
