Startup problem

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. When I turn on my PC, the leds and fans come on for a few seconds and then turn off for a few seconds then turn on for a few seconds then turn off for a few seconds then finally come on and stay on and it boots up. Every now and then the whole thing crashes with the blue screen that says the error is memory management. I have run the memory diagnostics and it says no errors found. The gadget that shows gauges for cpu and ram never shows more than 20% of memory used (I have 12 GB RAM).

Is this a Windows 7 problem or possibly a power supply problem?

is it an asus motherboard?

they are notorious for the double/triple post issue

and are you overclocking?

I would go for psu as well....

Swap another one in for a few minutes to see....

No overclocking.

It is an asus sabretooth motherboard. They are known for triple starting like I described?

I will check the psu.

yes the asus sabretooth is known for it as well

i just turned on my asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 and got the triple boot

try the mem ok button on the motherboard

mem ok button is on the motherboard--probably near the ram slots

since you are getting memory management blue screens it wont hurt to try it--and only takes a minute to pop off the

side panel and press it

as far as i know all the sabretooth boards have it
