Startup repair fails

My laptop froze recently and I was forced to turn it off by holding down the power button, when trying to turn it back on I was sent straight to the Startup repair screen, it did its thing and told me something along the lines of "this can't be fixed automatically" I've tried running the repair and rebooting several times to no avail. I DO NOT have a repair disc for it and I really don't know what to do, any ideas?

Put the Original windows DVD in and let it fix it.

I don't have the original windows DVD, we moved and I lost it along with the repair CD

Does the laptop have an OEM license key on it still.

Theres a 25 character long product key on the underneath of it if thats what you mean?

Do you have access to another computer and a blank single layer DVD that can burn an ISO file with IMGBURN.

Burn the ISO image with IMGBURN and perform a startup repair.

you could use a bootable usb stick I believe Microsoft has a tool for that
