Static Damage gpu?

Hi, I was just wondering if it was possible for my new graphics card that came in to mail today to get damaged by static electricity? I'm pretty sure it has an antistatic bag in the box and i haven't opened the box, so I was wondering if it could get damaged by static.(By touching it's box)

Ok, thanks, I was just kind of scared because I slide the box on carpet, and I thought I damaged it.

also I slid it on carpet,is it fine? Just thought static got to it, unless the antistatic bag stopped it.
